JULY 21-24 THE 10TH WORLD CUP EQUESTRIAN EVENT AT REBECCA FARM, Kalispell. The largest equestrian event in the U.S., the triathlon is an important step on the road to the 2012 London Olympics. This year the Event will honor the legacy of Rebecca Broussard, the founder of the Event, who died this year of cancer. For more, see www.rebeccafarm.org. THE LEGACY OF REBECCA BROUSSARD As the largest equestrian triathlon in the nation, The Event at Rebecca Farm gives residents an unparalleled chance to see all levels of the eventing world — from novice to expert — in one beautiful location. This year, the power, grace and skill that descend each year on Rebecca Farm will be punctuated by the celebration of their tenth year anniversary — and the absence of its driving force and namesake Rebecca Broussard, who died this past winter. “Becky” was known as the most important person in Eventing in the entire nation. The Broussard family (l-r) Jerome, Sarah, and Becky present the 2010 trophy to Olympian Karen O’Connor. As the world gears up for the 2012 London Olympics, nowhere will Rebecca Broussard’s mark on the sport be more apparent than the July 21-24 weekend in Kalispell. This 640-acre farm stables 400 horses, organizes over 300 volunteers, oversees 30 paid staff and houses 30 officials — all to bring the best horses and riders to some 20,000 spectators who can see every aspect of this event, free of charge. www.rebeccafarm.org DISTINCTLY MONTANA | DIGITAL Watch blue-ribbon perfomers on their horses Go to www.distinctlymontana.com/rebeccafarms113 29-31 RED ANTS PANTS MUSIC FESTIVAL, White Sulphur Springs.
