Michael Reynolds (cellist of the Muir String Quartet in residence at Boston University) and his sister Kathy Reynolds (principal bassoonist with the Dallas Opera Orchestra and Professor of Music at the University of North Texas) are both Bozeman natives; their father was long time chair of the MSU music department and conductor of the Bozeman Symphony.
