For me, there wasn't really a question
of whether I would be returning to
Montana once medical school and
residency were over. My plan from
the beginning had always been to
get back home. Arizona and Colorado
were great, but there's nothing quite like Montana. Nothing quite
like fi shing the Missouri all summer long and getting the chance
to meet people from all over the world. Nothing quite like skiing
Showdown's natural snow and stopping in the lodge afterwards
with your good friend that you ran into on Ruby. For me, coming
back to Montana was the easiest decision in the world.

Montana's geography,
climate, wildlife, and people
are unique, and they're things
I really took for granted
growing up here. I enjoy the
outdoors, and it's important
for my family and I to live a lifestyle
where we're able to immerse ourselves
in outdoor living. After spending more
than a decade on the East Coast,
I looked forward to moving back
and being closer to my family
in Montana.
Without any medical schools in our beautiful state,
the only option is to leave in pursuit of medical
education. At Benefi s Health System, we're thrilled
that in the last year, many talented physicians
have moved back to practice medicine in the state
where they grew up. They are settling down, but
not settling on their standards.
Here's why these providers have chosen
to come home to care
for other Montanans.
