YEP, A BIG FB "THUMBSUP FOR US!"
Yay!
This river steamer is named "Benton," named after Fort Benton the town boomed as a hub for the entire
region. Immigrants came to Montana by steamboat, in wagons, on horseback and on foot. Those that could
afford it rode into Montana by steamboat up the Missouri River to Fort Benton. The first steamboat to arrive
on the Missouri River was in 1860. Photo courtesy of Gallatin County Pioneer Museum
Goat pulls cart, set up for a parade in 1917. In the 20th century goats became popular as pets.

ligent and go off on their own more than sheep. Photo: Museum of the Rockies Archive
