On the right a saddle hangs by the stirrup; bridles flank both sides of the canvas tent. The photo is credited to the Schlechten brothers, who left the Museum of the Rockies with 10,000 spectacular images. Albert Schlechten is on the left, so Alfred may have taken the photo. An example of an early uniform. Footballer Aldo Forte gradu- ated from the U of Montana and played as an offensive line- man in the NFL between 1939-1947. He was a member of the Chricago Bears when the team astounded the footfall world by defeating the Washington Redskins for the championship. He served in World War II and then became a tremendous blocker for the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers. The Ozark Club brought sensational talent in jazz, comedy, and burlesque to Great Falls. It was successful and popular from 1933 when the failed Prohibition experiment ended to 1962 when it mysteriously burned down. Owner Leo La Mar, son of an African-Amer- ican mother and Chinese father, came from Chicago via the Great Northern Railroad. He was also known for his boxing skill.
