I'd heard great things about their care and knew they had a team of fellowship-trained gynecologic oncologists. I was the first
woman in our region to participate in a clinical trial to treat advanced-stage ovarian cancer, which involved a vaccine made
from my tumor cells. The vaccine was given to me over an 11-month period after chemotherapy to help fight off my cancer.
I am cancer free today and enjoying life with my
husband and three children.
