PUBLISHER'S NOTE "Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead." INTRODUCING W e've enjoyed great success with , and, as publishers, my husband I have met fascinating people across the state, from newsmakers to those taking pleasure in quiet pursuits. It was always my dream to carve out a spot just for women. A place where we could tell stories about accomplished, dynamic Montanans. A place for dialogue, enlightenment, and humor. And was born. We're starting small—with this preview issue offering just a taste of what is to come. Editor Jessica Solberg introduces us to Anne Sherwood, a photojournalist whose adventurous spirit and extraordinary talent have taken her on assignment around the world. Writer Caroline Patterson gives us a view into the busy life of Missoula blogger and clothing designer Nici Holt Cline. And writer Danielle Lattuga takes us to the wilderness, where women are teaching other women how to shoot guns and cast lines. In future issues you will find articles about family, friends, and lovers, advice from experts on ways to look and feel your best, and a glimpse into the lives of inspiring, entrepreneurial, and hilarious women—your family, friends, and neighbors. I invite you to help nurture to grow by submitting your ideas, stories, and comments. Join us in making , as we say on the cover, "informative, entertaining, and inspirational."
