"A Time- less Legacy" recognizes those early bold, spirited women who overcame the challenges of society, weather, and geography to paint in Glacier National Park. The show will feature the work of four contemporary women artists work- ing today alongside their early pioneering sisters-in-art. The exhibit will feature works on loan from collections located all over the United States. www.hockadaymuseum.org. Bigfork • May 22-24 BIGFORK WHITEWATER FESTIVAL celebrates its 40th anniversary. Par- ticipants come from around the world to race on the Class IV section of the Swan River, called the Wild Mile, which is located right below the Bigfork Dam. Currently the festival is a part of the Western Whitewa- ter Championship Series. Cash prizes. For years, spectators have been watching the kayak or rafting races from a large rock on the edge of the river called the Big Rock. It is located right alongside the Big Drop, which is the main drop on the course. Spectators can also watch from the riverside or in town on the Bigfork Bridge. This year, other community events will include a Stand Up Paddle Board demonstration, Leave No Trace Safety Presentation, Merchandise raffl es and specials, promotions and music events put on by local businesses.
