One of the bt parts of owning a liftyle magine is traveling the state
and meeting so many Montanans from all walks of life, many of whom are very cre-
ative people and true artists and artisans, producing limited quantities of beautifully
crafted western art, goods, and foods.
For some time now, the idea of an online store to sell the best of Montana-made
ware has been percolating. I am ready to give it my best shot, by creating
disTincTlymonTanagifTs.com. This site is a showcase for high-quality,
hand-crafted, Montana-made — from metal and wood art objects to oats and
huckleberry food items (to name just a few). My goal is to sell the best,
and it's about time to shine a spotlight on talented people all over our state.
I have traveled from farmers' markets to galleries to off-the grid-studios, to
stores in small Montana towns to Web sites in an ongoing quest to find all that
Montana has to offer, and to identify and invite the most talented Montana people
to join us under the cyber-roof of DistinctlyMontanaGifts.com
And... I hear this all the time from the people whose products will be in the
store:
"I'd rather be creating than selling"… or … "thinking about new products
to create is a whole lot more fun than thinking about how I am going to market
my products"…
or … "I am a lot better at creating than selling."
Although our store does not provide the only way most of these artisans and
producers sell what they make, I am committed to having DistinctlyMontanaGifts.com
shine a brighter light on each and every one of them and their works. Visitors to
the store will get to know something about them and their story, the heart that
they put into what they make, and how much living in this special place is a part of
what makes their work so gratifying. They have MontanaTude
TM
*.
Stay tuned as DistinctlyMontanaGifts.com is coming
to a phone, tablet, or computer near you. I promise
to keep you posted—and soon fine Montana products
and foods will be just a click away.
Let's think "Shopping."
