Montana boots are well- worn collectors of trails and tales and, if their leathery tongues could wag, they would reminisce of high peaks and spring meadows, of quiet walks and long tramps, of friendships and forests. They would tell of what crag scarred their soles, of what morning dew beaded their toes, of what special dirt yet cringes in the eyelets, soon to poof from the
tight snap of a shoestring. Why is it always dif- ficult to give up your old boots for the shiny and new? Memories and miles, nothing more.
