hen 14 North was finally unveiled this past June, after years of
covered windows and quiet anticipation, Bozeman diners were sure
to be dazzled, but they didn't know exactly how or why.
After all, everyone in town had long awaited the reopening of something in the old Spanish Peaks
restaurant at 14 North Church, which had remained closed for the good part of 10 years. For some time,
there was talk of a Boodles reopening, after the popular Bozeman restaurant was destroyed in an unfortunate blast at its previous downtown location. People whispered about opening dates, speculated about
the décor and yearned for a new place to dine.
And finally they have it.
Josh and Justine Palmer had a business opportunity unfold in front of
them after a family friend took over
the 14 North building. A Boodles
reopening had fallen through after
the previous owners had put much of
their heart and soul into the project,
especially on the design end (by Helen
Kent Interiors). The restaurant was

with beautiful mahogany accents
and colorful Tiffany-style chandeliers, when the Palmers stepped
in. They worked on the finishing
touches—which included kitchen
equipment, tables and a lighthearted
décor—and their dreams of owning a
restaurant were quickly underway.
