Dr. Scheer, who works out of both Billings and Bozeman, specializes in patients who are facing orthopedic issues such as arthritis of the hip and of the knee, as well as painful or failed total hip and knee replacements. He is now using the exclusive Mako SmartRobotics TM system, the most advanced robotic technology for total and partial knees, as well as total hip replacements. Mako SmartRobotics' TM 3D CT-based planning, coupled with AccuStop TM haptic technology, greatly improves total joint replacement outcomes. Dr. Scheer received his medical degree and completed his orthopedic residency at the University of South Alabama, in Mobile. He then completed his adult reconstructive surgery fellowship at the Core Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Scheer is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, and is affiliated with the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Montana Medical Association, and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
