TENTS, there's nothing
quite like staying at a
lodge, is there? The feel-
ing of a really good hotel
is always singular - no two
feel alike - and yet they're always comprised out of a balance of
feeling like a home away from home, and feeling like you're on a
grand adventure. The feeling of a really great lodge is like that,
but even better.
Sage Lodge, just outside of
Pray, Montana, is, as lodg-
es go, sublime.
For one thing, in 2024 the
Sage Lodge is one of only
a handful of hotels in the
country to have achieved the
distinction of having been
awarded three Michelin keys. It repeated the same accomplishment
in 2025. For another, it has been named one of the Unique Lodges of
the World by no less than National Geographic Magazine, as well as
a "Favorite Resort" in Montana by Travel + Leisure.
