This cocktail takes inspiration from the classic Bramble but
incorporates Montana elements for a distinctive local twist.
The berry flavor provides a nice contrast to the apricot notes
in the sandwich, while the gin base offers herbal complexity
that complements the goat cheese spread.
INGREDIENTS
• 2 oz Montana-produced gin (such as Montgomery Distillery's Whyte Laydie
or Willies Distillery's Big Horn Gin)
• 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
• 1/2 oz simple syrup
• 1/2 oz blackberry liqueur (Crème de Mûre)
• Fresh blackberries for garnish
• Lemon twist for garnish
• Crushed ice
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Fill a rocks glass with crushed ice, mounding it slightly above the rim.
2. In a cocktail shaker, combine the gin, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup with ice.
3. Shake vigorously until well-chilled, about 15 seconds.
4. Strain the mixture over the crushed ice in the rocks glass.
5. Slowly pour the blackberry liqueur over the top, allowing it to "bramble" down
through the drink, creating a beautiful gradient effect.
6. Garnish with fresh blackberries and a lemon twist.
