D I S T I N C T L Y M O N T A N A M A G A Z I N E • F A L L 2 0 2 0 10 DO YOU HAVE A STORY ABOUT MONTANA THAT NEEDS TO BE TOLD? Email queries to editor@distinctlymontana.com. WE'RE HOWLING FOR YOUR MATERIAL! F ALL IS WHEN HUMANKIND IS BUSY HARVESTING CROPS AND PREPARING FOR THE COMING WINTER. It's a time for contemplation of the past, and hope for the future. It's a spooky time for the ghouls and goblins, large and small, who celebrate Hallow- een. For many, it's a time to be thankful for family, friends, and safe- ty. And for Montanans, famously kind, pragmatic, salt-of-the-earth folk blessed by God with good looks and quick wits, it's a time to be gladdened anew at being able to live in a state this grand. In August, we welcomed JOE SHELTON, our new Editor-in-Chief to our team, and are excited for all the talents that he brings to the table. Joe is not only a gifted writer and editor, but he's also our new resident Bigfoot nut, a trait without which we've been languishing for many years. Joe is a fifth-generation Montanan, born in Miles City, and holds a Masters of English from Montana State University. We are glad to have him on our team! As we look forward to the kind of fall only Montana can deliver, we hope that you, too, are enjoying a warm, pumpkin-spice flavored, slightly eerie Autumn. Nothing would make us happier than know- ing that you were reading our magazine next to a roaring fireplace, a cup of hot cider in your hand, with a dog (or cat, if that's your cuddle preference) curled contentedly at your feet. Happy Fall!
