Patience paid off, and after a while, the clouds began to lift. 2 ND PLACE 3 RD PLACE 4 TH PLACE STAFF PICK 5 TH PLACE MARCI LENO "HYALITE CANYON MORNING" I took this image at Hyalite Canyon in Bozeman. I reached the reservoir while it was still dark and waited to capture some sunrise pictures, but as it began to drizzle, I considered heading back to my warm bed. While it was too overcast for sunrise, the wait was worth it; this photo is evidence of that! As the darkness turned to light, the rain stopped, and the fog that had en- veloped the reservoir began to rise, so I was able to capture this gorgeous image. GRETCHEN KNUFFK, KALISPELL "MT. CANNON" Mt Cannon rising out of the fog with Beargrass at her feet. DAVID AIMONE, BILLINGS "MAN'S BEST FRIEND" Summer evening at Lake McDonald JEAN LABELLE, THOMPSON FALLS "WISPY WONDERLAND" As the morning clouds cleared, you could see the majestic mountains behind the Many Glacier Hotel. ROBERTA CRUSE, BISMARK, NORTH DAKOTA "ALONG THE BANKS OF THE YELLOWSTONE" Captured this while traveling in Yellowstone with my parents about a year ago. It was just the right time of year to get all the colors. I was fortunate to get this.
