If I were not in some form of real estate or development, I would be a jewelry designer. I marvel at the creativity of the mix of metals, stones, textures, and colors, much like someone would a painting. Every day, situation, client, transaction, and all the issues we juggle changes from day to day and hour to hour. The key to good coordination with my team and office is constant commu- nication with all members of our clients' real estate experience. I once counted that there are about 168 steps involved in a typical real estate transaction, and every day we must assess where we are in each of our transactions to best serve our clients' needs.
